{"id":10781,"date":"2020-03-31T18:39:23","date_gmt":"2020-04-01T00:39:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nhfc.mx\/?p=10781"},"modified":"2021-08-06T23:09:57","modified_gmt":"2021-08-06T23:09:57","slug":"puedo-elegir-el-sexo-de-mi-bebe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/getreall.clicksend.com.mx\/hopeivf\/puedo-elegir-el-sexo-de-mi-bebe\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00bfPuedo elegir el sexo de mi beb\u00e9?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>La selecci\u00f3n del sexo de un beb\u00e9 es un tema que siempre ha generado controversia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Desde la antig\u00fcedad, por razones culturales, muchas sociedades han buscado la manera de elegir el sexo de su descendencia, empleando m\u00e9todos arcaicos y carentes de evidencia cient\u00edfica.<\/p>\n<p>En la actualidad disponemos de grandes avances tecnol\u00f3gicos en el campo de la reproducci\u00f3n asistida, que nos permiten llevar a cabo la selecci\u00f3n de sexo de manera exitosa.<\/p>\n<p>Y, aunque la respuesta a la pregunta <i>\u00bfpuedo elegir el sexo de mi beb\u00e9?<\/i> es \u201cs\u00ed\u201d, por sus implicaciones \u00e9ticas, esta pr\u00e1ctica est\u00e1 <b>reservada s\u00f3lo para casos espec\u00edficos<\/b>, y a continuaci\u00f3n te vamos a platicar de qu\u00e9 se trata.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es \u201cselecci\u00f3n de sexo\u201d?<\/h2>\n<p>Es un procedimiento en el que se seleccionan de forma espec\u00edfica los espermatozoides con cromosoma X o Y en su material gen\u00e9tico, para que el futuro beb\u00e9 sea mujer u hombre, respectivamente.<\/p>\n<p>Para lograrlo, la reproducci\u00f3n asistida interfiere en las siguientes etapas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Preconcepcional<\/b>: se selecciona el espermatozoide antes de la fecundaci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Embrionaria<\/b>: se selecciona el embri\u00f3n, despu\u00e9s de la fecundaci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 elegir el sexo de mi beb\u00e9?<\/h3>\n<p>Por ahora, la \u00fanica indicaci\u00f3n aceptada para elegir el sexo de un beb\u00e9 es la prevenci\u00f3n de <b>enfermedades gen\u00e9ticas ligadas a los cromosomas sexuales.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Existen alrededor de 500 enfermedades graves relacionados con alteraciones en el cromosoma X, y que tienen un 50% de probabilidad de manifestarse en los hijos varones, entre ellas la <b>hemofilia<\/b> y la <b>distrofia muscular de Duchenne<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Otras causas que no son estrictamente m\u00e9dicas, como el <i>\u201cFamily balancing\u201d<\/i>, a\u00fan no est\u00e1n justificadas e incluso son castigadas por la ley en algunos pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n<h3>T\u00e9cnicas de selecci\u00f3n de sexo<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selecci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica preconcepcionalSe trata de elegir directamente los espermatozoides con cromosoma X o Y. A pesar de que no requieren la creaci\u00f3n de embriones que despu\u00e9s no ser\u00e1n usados, su eficacia es baja.\n<ul>\n<li><b>Microsort<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Con ayuda de un cit\u00f3metro de flujo se mide la cantidad de ADN en los espermatozoides.
